Responsibilities:

Candidate should be prepared to engage in software development for Android and Windows Mobile based embedded platforms contributing to the advancement of mobile and embedded technology solutions. Candidate is expected to have exposure or interest in multimedia software stack development as well as firmware and driver development supporting robust and efficient multimedia experiences on embedded devices.

Candidate should be willing to work on wireless modem and connectivity solutions focusing on both software and firmware development to ensure seamless communication and network functionality. Candidate will be involved in communication protocol stack software development requiring an understanding of how devices communicate over various wireless and wired protocols.

Candidate should have the capability to participate in kernel, BSP and device driver development which are essential components in embedded systems to interface with hardware. Candidate is expected to contribute to application software and user interface development, creating user friendly applications that operate smoothly on embedded platforms.

Candidate should have knowledge or an interest in software architecture design for embedded devices based on Android and Windows platforms and apply object oriented programming principles to develop efficient and maintainable software solutions.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria and Qualification:

Candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Communication Engineering, ECE or a related field with qualifications i.e. a Master’s or Bachelor’s in these disciplines being highly suitable.

Candidate will have the opportunity to work on the development of real time embedded software and device drivers, playing a key role in powering next generation technologies through robust software solutions.

Candidate is expected to engage in mobile software development across platforms i.e. Windows Mobile, Android or Linux applying technical skills to create seamless user experiences and efficient applications. Candidate should have understanding of operating system concepts, data structures and algorithms with solid foundation for tackling complex software engineering challenges.

Candidate must have understanding of C/C++ and object oriented design principles enabling effective software development and contributing to high quality maintainable codebases. Candidate with knowledge of wireless network standards such as CDMA, GSM, UMTS and LTE and experience in Linux/UNIX environments including Linux driver and kernel development will be at an advantage.

Candidate should also be familiar with communication protocols like TCP, UDP, IP, SIP and RTP and have an interest in multimedia technologies including audio, video and imaging while demonstrating excellent analytical, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills.
