Candidate is expected to have a strong commercial focus being sensitive to business needs and adopting a solution oriented approach at all times. Understanding the business context and aligning technical outputs to strategic goals will be critical.

Candidate should exhibit high standard of written and oral communication skills with strong presentation abilities to support development activities in a global setting. Effective communication will help in clearly conveying complex information across diverse teams.

Candidate must be ready to embrace inherent challenges i.e. learning continuously in a complex business and IT environment, dealing with the intricacies of regulations, managing global programmes with tight timelines and gaining a deeper understanding of interconnected systems. Maintaining awareness of operational risks and mitigating them through proper processes as defined by HSBC Group standards will be an important part of the responsibilities.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria and Qualification:

Candidate must be an engineering graduate from the 2025 batch holding a BE/BTech degree in Computer Science, IT (with or without additional specialisation), CCE, AI ML, AI DS, Cybersecurity or Cloud. The educational foundation should prepare them for deliver efficient and innovative solutions.

Candidate will be required to provide simple, better and faster time to market solutions by learning and demonstrating strong software development engineering skills. They must show proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language i.e. Java or Python enabling effective development and implementation of solutions.

Candidate should possess a solid understanding of operating systems like Android and Linux and have knowledge of databases including relational and NoSQL types. Their ability to manage liaise with business users, architects and other stakeholders will be critical in designing scalable, efficient and seamless solutions across platforms i.e. mobile, internet and cloud.

Candidate must be familiar with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines and Agile methodologies ensuring smooth development processes. Exposure to mobile technologies, analytics, cloud and other digital technology domains will add value to their capabilities.

Candidate should have the ability to design and implement solutions that can operate across on premises, hybrid and multi cloud ecosystems like GCP, AWS, Azure and Ali Cloud. A strong inclination to leverage open source development and collective learning is encouraged.

Candidate needs to understand cyber threats and vulnerabilities, applying secure coding standards and relevant security protocols in their work. They should be able to integrate various building blocks using industry best practices to deliver seamless end to end customer experience.

Candidate will responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting current systems to ensure better efficacy and higher availability, continuously enhancing systems to meet business needs effectively.
